Mrs. Johnson's Classroom...
Today in Mrs. Johnson's classroom we had book buddies with Mrs. Davis' kindergarten class. We tried to compliment their reading in as many ways as we could, and we tried to set a good example for them and be the extraordinary fourth grade top dogs that we are. We would like to thank Mrs. Green for being our mystery reader today. She read us two exciting books about animals. Besides the fun part of our class time we did our usual journal entry, and our question of the day. We had our spelling pre-test and our paragraph editing test. We had a wonderful day in Mrs. Johnson's excellent classroom.
Mr. D's Classroom...
Today in math we learned the basic words in a math sentence that tell you to add or subtract, to find the total, and if you have your total already. We did a partner activity with word problems and estimations. We turned it in with confidence we were going to get a good grade. In science today, we worked on finishing our matter definition cards. To end the day, we did a fun Friday activity with section forty-six. It was a fantastic math fact racing game. Mr. D would hold up a math fact card to us and we tried to think of the product before our opponent could. It ended up with section forty-six beating section forty-five by one point. If you ask me, I would say we're all great mathematicians! What I enjoyed the most about this fabulous Friday was the class math activity even though my class got beat.
Here's to having a great weekend,
Mackenzie Garcia
Thank you so much Mackenzie for letting me know exactly what you all did in class! What an informative entry. What great teachers you have!
